A Star Over the Holy Land
An event not witnessed since the Middle Ages and that occurs approximately every eight hundred years will happen on December 21st, four days before Christmas. The two largest planets in our solar system, Jupiter and Saturn, will align on Dec. 21 to create the "Christmas Star" or the "Star of Bethlehem." It is likely this was the event prompting the Magi, who were early ‘scientists’ studying the sky as a forecaster of earthly events, to journey to Jerusalem to pay homage to the birth of the Great King they believed the star to be announcing.
All over the world, people’s eyes and hearts are turning toward Christmas as we recall the star that shone over the Holy Land, leading the wise men to worship the Lamb born in Bethlehem, Jesus, our Emanuel. We pause from all our endeavors to turn our hearts toward celebration, worship, and thanksgiving. We welcome the Advent season with joy. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel. We bind every plan of destruction, and declare the Shalom of God over the Holy Land.
At this time where family and friends get together, we pray for the safety of those who will be traveling. We pray specifically for members of our armed forces serving far from home, and for our law enforcement and first responders here at home. We cover them and their families, asking for the Lord to give each of them a special touch this Christmas.
We loose fresh waves of healing and deliverance over our nation. Lord, deliver us from all evil. We hold on to the roots of this nation and break every lying spirit. Arise oh Lord, and let Your enemies be scattered. Sweep across our cities and set free those bound by yokes of corruption, poverty, addiction, and violence by the presence of God. Deliver us from the evil spirit of Antichrist that desires to see America’s Judeo-Christian foundations destroyed. We plead the blood of Jesus over our families and nation against COVID-19, and declare that this year is the year of victory from Jehovah Nissi, Our Banner of victory!
During this Christmas season, we declare the Lord is near to all who watch for Him and call upon His name.
Luke 2:13-16, And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” …The shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
Matthew 2:1-2, “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.’”
Numbers 24:17, “I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; a Star shall come out of Jacob; a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and batter the brow of Moab, and destroy all the sons of tumult.”
Micah 5:2, “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.”
Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”
Psalm 91:11, “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”
