Watch Focus: Rosh Hashanah—We Honor the Feasts of the Lord

Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29 ESV).

As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. (Psalm 42:1 ESV).

We welcomed the Presence of the Lord by the lighting of the Shabbat candles.

We began by giving thanks to the Lord with grateful hearts for the sacrifice of love that He made for us. We prepared the ground for breakthrough through our praise.

Message: Jason Oberman and Guests

Jason: A few of us were out one night this week sitting outside a bakery. There was an IT place across from us and a guy came out. I knew him and he looked as though he was in distress. I asked if he wanted to join us and he said no. About fifteen minutes later he returned. He wanted to ask us to come in and pray in the IT place of business. The owner was in the back office and he came out. We prayed for him and prophesied over him as he broke down in tears. He thought he had done something wrong because his business wasn’t prospering. In that moment, the Lord quicken to me Rosh Hashanah. There is a grace moving in these times. The Lord was saying, “Forget what happened in the past and enter into the future.”

During Rosh Hashanah they take apples dipped in honey, which symbolize hope for a sweet and happy new year. Tashlich involves going to the sea shore or to the bank of a river on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah.  At the water’s edge, participants toss bread crumbs into the water as prayers are said regarding God’s forgiveness. We can cast off the old and receive what God has for us now. This is a kairos moment. Enjoy the blessing of the Lord.

Guest One: The Kingdom– Our Inheritance. A quick summation of the history goes like this: An incurable disease was unleashed in Eden and has ever since been the destruction of mankind. Prophets were given oracles from God for the redemption of the human race. “Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29. We are in the season of Yom Kippur which is September 26, 2012, and Jesus is the ultimate Yom Kippur sin offering that made us “At One” with God. We are now, after 4,000 plus years of being separated, reconciled to God through Jesus Christ! What was the message Jesus preached? “The Kingdom of God has come to earth.  Let all who will, repent and enter in through me!”

What is the Kingdom? It is the rule of God; the sphere where what God wants to be, is being. It is also a place where God dwells that is reserved for His children…the holy city. When you were saved, you inherited a Kingdom! Romans 8:16, Luke 12:32. As ambassadors of heaven , our mission is to live in the Kingdom of God, proclaim it with the Word, demonstrate it with power and thus reconcile fallen man to God.

Keys to living from Kingdom Provision: 1) know and understand that everything you need to fulfill your destiny is given to you already; the Kingdom is within you Luke 17:21.; 2) you must seek the Kingdom of God Matt 6:33; 3) you must live a life committed to the interests of the King and walk in total obedience.  The more you love Him, the easier it is to obey Him!

Finally, the Kingdom of God is also a place of unimaginable beauty and splendor reserved for God’s children. Matthew 6:20-21; 1 Corinthians 15:19-28; 2 Timothy 4:5-8.

Guest Two: Get into a place of faith to receive like a child. The fire of God is going to break out tonight. God wants us to know Him. It’s an experience of God. The Lord is walking through this place and wants to love on us tonight. The Lord wants to minister to us tonight.

Close your eyes and open your heart to receive from the Lord. You don’t have to strive or earn it. The Lord really loves you. I want to break off of you right now any sludge or accusation of the enemy. I pray right now comfort to your spirit would be revived. Every lie of the enemy is broken right now. Lord, remove them from the trial or walk through with them. I pray you would know supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. I pray we get drunk in the Spirit. Jesus, we glorify You. There is a mountain tonight the Lord is going to move. The Lord is going to move the mountain of loneliness. It’s oppressive. You may need godly relationships. Realign yourself. Pray grace and wisdom. Any oppressive mountain of loneliness must go now; release them in Jesus name. The Lord loves us.

In 1995, I was in a meeting and God’s Presence was so thick I felt His love all over me. He put His arms around me and shared the love of the Father. That was April 1995. Know the love of God in experience.

Ephesians 3:14-16. This is the call upon you tonight. God is here to honor His word. God will dwell on you. We need a fresh revelation of the Father. When you get hit by that love, you will love others.

You can’t get any closer than God being on the inside of you. Others need you filled with the fullness of God. People are filled with a lot of things. When the Spirit of God comes, the other spirits have to get out. Ephesians 3:16-19. God wants to root us with love. He gives love to us without limit. God wants to zap you tonight. You need everything to deal with the real world. God’s Presence in you will offset others around you.

It is vital that we walk by faith and not feelings. We do need to experience that love tonight. Faith comes and brings wisdom and revelation. I pray that the love of the Father will spill out of us this week. Ephesians 3:19 is the call of God upon you.

We have to do practical things. I’m praying in tongues as much as I can. Matthew 24. Satan wants to rob us of the truth so we can’t communicate the gospel. If you’re not sure about the Lord, you can make a simple belief in your heart and a confession with your mouth. God is not weird. He is down to earth. God wants to restore us tonight.

No matter what state you’re in tonight, he’s not surprised. He will flood you and fill you with Himself. Ephesians 3:20-21. Believe it and aggressively lay hold of this. Keep pressing into it.

Pray in the spirit. Pray that we give ourselves to Him one hundred percent. We need fresh fire tonight. We are hungry. Lord come and strengthen us and fill us. We humble ourselves. We need you tonight. Fill us. We are hungry for Your Presence. Spirit of evangelism fall now. Divine appointments, words in season. I pray the gift of the Holy Spirit would break out.

Prayers

  • Israel: We pray blessings on the nation that mothered us. We step into their heritage. Ruth told Naomi, “Your people are my people, your God my God. We stand here as an ally with Israel. We bless her economy to grow with wealth and new ideas. Bless the leaders and may they be men like Daniel, Moses and Zachariah. We pray for the spirit of the nation of Israel. Wake her up. Grace grace! Bring her into the fullness of her heritage and call. We pray for the day when Jesus Christ is recognized. Favor on all nations. Psalm 121, 122. There are feet standing in her gates. Thank You, Lord. Peace, peace to her walls.
  • America: We lift up America to You and the Carolinas. We pray the nation will experience Your love. Psalm 27 over America. Year of Favor: In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, to say to the captives, ‘Come out,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!’ Is. 49:8-9.From the beginning of 2012 we have been proclaiming the “Year of God’s Favor.” The prophetic word given through Mahesh and Bonnie is that this is God’s kairos time where great opposition becomes a window for great victory. This is the time for the praying Church to stand in the gap for our nation. Another word received by Bonnie entitled “Code Orange” spoke of the Day of Sacrifice (Yom Kippur) shall see the Intercessor stand in the gap before the day of sacrifice (Islamic holy day), and the voice of the Lord shall rise like a mist over the land to make up a wall. Yom Kippur, is Sept. 25, and the Islamic day of sacrifice is Oct. 26. This window harmonizes with, 40 Days to Save America, a call to Christians across America to make up a wall of corporate prayer, fasting, and intercession Sept. 28- Nov. 6.  This month is the seventh month on the Jewish Calendar; the same month that Solomon completed and dedicated the Temple.  And it was Solomon’s prayer to which the Lord responded with 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land”.  So let us truly pray, repent and seek the Lord for the healing of America. We have power in this company of people. Thank You, Lord! You are good and Your mercy endures forever. The blood has been shed. We call upon Your blood for America. Let Your glory come down. Turn the hearts of Your people back to You. Wake up America! We pray for the sacrifice for American missionaries that left their families and abandoned their ambitions and goals. Some lost their lives. The blood cries out for you. We pray for the families of America to have their eyes opened. We call out for family members to come back. Touch our children for Your glory. They have a calling! Pour out a warrior anointing upon them. We call forth revival to the American family. Haggai  2:22. We pray that every spiritual enemy force that has risen against America would turn on one another. Put the President on like a signet ring. We sing a new song in this nation as you put the President on like a signet ring.
  • Education: We declare Christians will rise up and become scholars around the world. Keep the hope of God alive in them. Help them bring people to Christ. Proverbs 24:13-14.
  • Election: We pray God’s choice, not man’s choosing. Light, life, liberty and freedom! We remind You of the covenant You made. We ask for men and women of Your choosing. Psalm 2. Favor in abundance. Strap America to Your right side.
  • Troops: Give clarity to the leadership. We need men who will make right and godly decisions. Psalm 23 over our troops. This is a righteous nation and we call forth the ancient wells.

Prophetic Dreams/Visions/Impressions

The team moved in a time of prophetic ministry giving words of encouragement and edification.

Testimony

  • I minister in the market place of uptown Charlotte.  Because of the nature of my work, I was given access to restricted areas during the DNC last week.  During one of the late hours of the convention, I took a break and went outside to stretch my legs.  That's when I came cross this scene and couldn't help but be impressed by its significance. The National Guard was mobilized to assist many other agencies in providing perimeter security for the Democratic National Convention.  This scene took place just one block from Time Warner Cable Arena, where Pres. Obama gave his acceptance speech.  If I were to assign a caption to this picture it would read: Watch Of The Night. Spiritually speaking, I was reminded again of the Call of the Lord to invite the Church to both a personal and Corporate Watch during the DNC. I am so grateful that God continues to show us the importance of being Watchmen for Him. Wake Up O Church!  Let God Arise and His enemies be scattered.
  • Treasure Hunt participants found treasure in a local grocery store. They received clues that led them to the isle where brooms are sold. When they got there, they found a family with a shopping cart full of groceries. The wife had a ton of coupons. We prayed blessings over them and were able to bless them financially. They were overwhelmed with the display of love. Praise God!
