Weekly Fast Focus:

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name,” Psalm 100:4.

This week of our corporate fast we lift up praise and thanksgiving to our God. We bless His holy name. We give thanks aggressively to the Lord for His many blessings and bountiful provisions. Thank Him for His mercy and for the many freedoms and gifts we enjoy. Enumerate them, and express gratitude for His goodness toward us so that we may continue to live in peace and abundance. Cultivate an attitude of gratitude that unlocks God’s blessings all year long through 2022. Write down and call to remembrance daily in a journal the goodness and mercy of the Lord.

Ephesians 5:19-20, “… speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Revelation 5:12, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”

Worthy is the Lamb! He is worthy to be praised! We praise the King of Glory! Let us equal our praise to our prayer, for God not only hears our prayers but inhabits our praises. Wherever God dwells, things change. His promises are made manifest.

Revelation 4:11, “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”

We praise Him for moving in the nations. Let this be a year of restoration and revival for us, for the Church, and for the nation. Enter 2022 with praise and thanksgiving, with signs, wonders, provision, and protection for our families and church family. May His presence go with us as we extend His gospel globally with signs and wonders this year, shattering any opposition to the gospel.

Psalm 22:3, “But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.”

Praise the Lord for healing our land and sending His shield of protection over us, over Israel, and over all who look to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Use King David and the Psalms as a model for your heartfelt thanks. Psalm 106:1, “O give thanks to the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.”

Hebrews 13:15, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

Psalm 150:6, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”

Jeremiah 17:14, “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.”

Psalm 149:6, “May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands.”

Psalm 100:1-5, “Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!  Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.  Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves.  We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.  Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.  For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.”
